President and Founder
A bright, energetic and purposeful leader, Len Preeper is the owner and President of Thinkwell Research. He began working in the market research industry in 1995, as a Research Analyst with Corporate Research Associates. In 1996, he joined the Nova Scotia government, where he served in a variety of research and policy advisory roles, before co-founding OpinionTrac Research in the fall of 2000. Three years later, he broke out on his own and founded Thinkwell Research.
Since 2003, Len has provided custom research services to countless organizations in Nova Scotia and beyond. This list of clients includes: Sobeys, Irving Oil, Emera/Nova Scotia Power, Communications Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, Eastlink, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Coady International Institute, the IWK Health Sciences Centre, Dalhousie University, Mount Saint Vincent University, Tourism PEI, ACOA and the CBC. Over the course of his 15 year research career, Len has also managed three large-scale syndicated research projects: the CRA Atlantic Omnibus Survey, the OpinionTrac Quarterly Review and the Nextbus Survey.
Len is a Professional Member of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA); and he presently serves as the Vice President of Marketing for the Halifax branch of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). In the past, Len has also worked as a Part-time Professor of Political Science at Acadia University, where he taught politics and polling at the undergraduate level.
Len holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science from Acadia University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Studies from Queen’s University. He’s also a proud resident of Dartmouth, avid sportsfan and business magazine junkie.
